An international and comparative examination of workplace and economic relations around the world, with special focus on efforts to build collaborative work processes that would extend the voice, ownership and control rights of workers. The interface between state institutions and economic organizations is also considered, especially insofar as government prescriptions and processes that may impede or extend democratic governance of the economy.
