Committees

Executive Committee

(UAP Chair, Associate Chairs, one faculty member elected by vote of the UAP faculty): The Executive Committee is responsible for conducting annual and 5-year reviews of the MURP program, including the engagement of the Alumni, current students, and practicing planning professionals and related stakeholders. The UAP Executive Committee advises the UAP Chair on recommendations to the SPIA Director related to annual faculty performance reviews.

MURP Curriculum Committee

(UAP Chair, NCR Associate Chair, and two elected UAP faculty members, one of which having taught in the core curriculum during the previous 2 years): The MURP Curriculum Committee is responsible for annually reviewing the fulfillment of the MURP Curriculum, including course scheduling, syllabi, teaching and advising assignments, and capstone projects. The MURP Curriculum Committee reports to the UAP Chair and the UAP faculty.

Research and Outreach Committee

Responsible for promoting UAP research; recommending policies to enhance research; inviting speakers; human subjects reviews, student research involvement; scholarship of outreach.

Alumni Relations Committee

Responsible for reviewing UAP Alumni records; development of a newsletter; involvement of Alumni in periodic program reviews; liaison to alumni groups.

Self-Study Committee

Responsible for preparing the self-study report (SSR) for the Planning Accreditation Board (PAB).
