  • Sonia Hirt, Assistant Professor in UAP, was awarded a $40,000 fellowship from the National Council of Eurasian and East European Research (NCEEER). The award is funded under the Title VIII program of the US Department of State. She will use the award for her project investigating the proliferation of walled-off urban spaces in post-communist cities which will be completed with the aid of local sociologists.
